Don't we all wish we had LongerDays?

Man how the time flys. It's been over a year since we stepped off our boat and walked away from our vagabond lifestyle.

I can tell you that re-integrating into "normal" life is just as hard as was stepping out of it.

Suddenly we "need" so many things! A dinner set for 12 people, just for thanksgiving? Sheets, comforters, pillows... for the spare bedroom. And of course we could never get by with out our trusty cell phones.

Everything we used to own would fit on the 35 foot boat... Now we have stuff we "need" so much that we shove it in Tupperware bins in the attic.

About 6 months after returning home I was thinking "oh no - this was a huge mistake." But then I remembered the key to happiness. Don't you wish I would tell you the key to happiness?!?!

Well I am going to tell you, but first I am going to delay a bit longer to really build up the suspense...

wait for it...

Are you ready?

Now I don't want to tell you because I have built up the suspense so much that I feel like I am going to let you down!

Okay here it is: the key to happiness is simple, it is doing what you love. (insert dirty joke here - I thought it was "what" but I found out it was "who" ha ha!)

So many more people would be so much happier if they would follow the simple guideline: Do what you like. Like what you do.

There are no excuses. There is no one holding you back. People take life too seriously anyhow. When it comes down to it, none of us get out of here alive! So you really have nothing to lose. We all get a handful of years that we can use however we want to. So make your life the one you always wanted!

Some people might take that the wrong way and say "well I always wanted to fly to the moon". I'm talking about simple things. Perhaps you hate your job? Get one you like! That is what I did, and it has made all the difference.

Every morning I arrive to work early, and every evening I stay late. The people I work with are brilliant, and I get immense satisfaction knowing that I am helping every one of our customers achieve things they could not have done on their own.

If I'm lucky, I'll get to work at a job I love while saving up money for a new boat to sail away. All I have to do is.... what I like!
