Fitur Terbaru Facebook Video Call

Pagi ini seperti di pagi biasanya saya mulai aktivitas saya, nyalain laptop, konekin modem, buka facebook dan nyoba chatt dengan temen. Ada yang aneh ketika kutulis sebaris message ke temen saya, ya itu di pojok kanan chatt muncul gambar camera yang tak lain itu adalah fitur baru facebook untuk video call , kaget banget kagak juga karena sebelumnya pernah denger gosip juga kalau facebook bakalan ngeluarin video call. Sepertinya facebook gak mau keduluan sama Google+ untuk launching video call . (video call pada G+ sudah ada namun masih dalam pengembangan).
Sepertinya facebook tak ingin penggunanya kabur lantaran ada rumor anonymous akan hancurkan facebook pada tanggal 5 november, ups tapi bukan itu yang saha bahas. Hmm, berikut ini beberapa print screen yang saya ambil pada saat memulai pertama kali untuk video call menggunakan facebook.

Anonymous Ancam Serang FaceBook Pada 5 November

Tanggal 5 November diingat karena pada tahun 1605 orang bernama Guy Fawkes mencoba untuk meledakkan gedung parlemen Inggris. Meloncat ke tahun 2011, 5 November mungkin akan diingat karena kelompok hacker Anonymous mengancam akan memporak-porandakan situs jejaring sosial nomor satu saat ini, Facebook pada tanggal tersebut.

Sebuah video yang dirilis kelompok tersebut menegaskan keseriusan ancaman yang mereka lontarkan. Anonymous mengancam FaceBook karena pengaturan privasi yang tidak jujur dan peraturan yang membuat pengguna sulit untuk menghapus akun mereka. Anonymous menggambarkan FaceBook hanya memberikan ilusi privasi dan menyembunyikan hal-hal penting untuk kepentingan mereka sendiri yang mana dapat memberi mereka uang yang banyak.

Menurut Anonymous, orang akan berterima kasih kepada mereka karena membebaskan mereka dari perangkap setan jejaring sosial tersebut.

SELLARONDA

This is video was among the winners of Chevrolet Route 66 competition for Mofilm at Shanghai Film Festival. It will be part of a new Chevrolet website populated with videos of memorable and inspiring road trips around the world. Our journey took place in the Dolomites, a mountain range located in the North East of Italy. In 2009 UNESCO declared them a natural heritage site. We drove through 'The Great Dolomites road'. It was built between 1895 and 1909 by the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The road, constantly climbing and bending, nestled in between striking mountains, makes it a memorable drive. I took along my friend Raf and I filmed the video over 3 days with a Canon 550D. We came across all sort of weather. After a few days of beautiful sunshine we woke up one morning to find heavy snow.

Anggota ditangkap, para HACKER Anonymous Siap Balas Dendam

Penangkapan tiga anggota grup Anonymous oleh kepolisian Spanyol pekan lalu segera menyulut amarah anggota lain dari kelompok hacker yang telah populer di dunia maya tersebut. Mereka pun mengingatkan kepolisian Spanyol bahwa para anggota lainnya siap membalas dendam kepada mereka.

Akhir pekan lalu, satuan kepolisan Spanyol mengklaim telah menangkap tiga tersangka pembobolan sistem keamanan PlayStation Network (PSN) milik Sony, yang mengakibatkan kebocoran data lebih dari 77 juta pemilik akun. Penangkapan itu dilakukan di tiga kota Spanyol yaitu Barcelona, Alicante dan Almeria.

Tidak butuh waktu lama bagi Anonymous untuk bertindak. PC Authority melaporkan bahwa para Anonymous siap membalas dendam kepada kepolisian Spanyol. Melalui blog dan Twitter, mereka menulis pesan pendek "Tunggu kami".

Direktur teknis PandaLabs Luis Corrons meyakini pembalasan dari Anonymous hanya tinggal menunggu waktu. Pertanyaannya bukan "Apakah mereka akan membalas dendam?", tapi "Kapan mereka membalas dendam?".

Menurut Corrons, Mereka biasanya bereaksi dengan cara yang sama, yaitu melakukan serangan DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service). Lalu ditujukan kepada siapa? Bisa jadi untuk situs kepolisian Spanyol.

Serangan terhadap PSN memaksa Sony menutup layanan tersebut sehingga para pengguna PlayStation 3 tidak bisa memainkan perangkat mereka sambil terhubung ke internet. Baru-baru ini, Sony juga mengaku bahwa pelaku serangan itu telah mencuri ribuan data pengguna, mulai dari tanggal lahir, username, hingga password.

Keamanan di dunia maya seolah menjadi barang langka menyusul semakin banyaknya serangan hacker. Apalagi, selain Anonymous kini muncul kelompok LulzSec yang juga dikaitkan dengan serangan terhadap PSN dan situs stasiun televisi PBS.

Corrons berpendapat, Industri keamanan komputer kini semakin dibuat khawatir dengan kehadiran grup hacker seperti mereka

WHAT ARE YOU LIKE?



Last year I went to see an exhibition at the Dulwich Pictures Gallery called 'What are you like?'. The idea was taken from a Victorian game of describing yourself with images of your favourite things: like a self portrait. I liked the idea very much and I took it as inspiration for a new piece of animation.It proved interesting to find a narrative structure for my animated version. As the original Victorian game was intended to be illustrated on a single piece of paper.I went through various layouts before finding the final one.The music is an original piece by Barney Wade.

SUNCORP

At Trunk animation we just finished this 15'' commercial for Australian Bank SunCorp. The client wanted a clay stop motion feel but with all the flexibility that 3D can offer. Everybody was really happy with the final result. Thanks to the amazing modeling skills of David Bruce with ZBrush and the magic of Rok Predin in After Effects.

LITTLE BIG PLANET



A dream coming true! I animated Sack Boy for this PSP commercial. I finally managed to work on character animation again.
Probably the funniest game in a long time. The TV AD, directed by Rebecca Manley, is a successful mix between stop motion and 3D.
I was in charge of all the 3D side. First I had to make sure that Sack Boy was sitting properly in the live action shots. Then I had to animate him. I had to speak with the character developer at Media Molecule to make sure my animation was in line with Sack Boy personality.

The all production lasted 5 weeks.

SMA GOLD SYSTEM COMMERCIALS



After a VFX job at Foreign Office I enjoyed working on a hand drawn animation project. These two commercials for SMA were directed by Thomas Napper at HSI. They were shot in live action and I worked in After Effect to comp in the hand drawn animation.

It has been a long time since I worked with traditional animation. Each element was a 3 frames boil on twos. They were scanned into a computer and re-animated. In After Effects I was able to adjust the timing and make them look as they were written on the screen using paint vector.

I think the result is really nice and the animated doodles fit nicely with the live action.

F1 ROCKS SINGAPORE

Foreign Office created the identiy and TV packaging for F1 Rocks event in Singapore. The F1 Rocks show is a mixed strand light entertainment programme with celebrities and music. The line up includes among the others Beyonce, The Black Eyed Peas, No Doubt and ZZ Top.

It was my first time at Foreign Office. The atmosphere and people were great!

We created amazing abstract trails of lights using Maya and After Effects. It proved quiet difficult to capture the sense of speed that we were after, but at the end the result it is pretty amazing.
